New and Returning Students Arrive

The end of the summer months means the beginning of a new semester for Westminster Theological Seminary. New students arrive on Wednesday, August 28th, for orientation, and classes begin on Thursday, September 5th.  During the first few weeks of the semester, plenty of activities kick off the new semester!

Schedule of Events for Beginning of the Semester:

Tuesday, August 27th: 7:00pm—New Student Ice Cream Social, at the Carriage House

Wednesday, August 28th: 8:30am—New and Reinstating Student Orientation, in Van Til Hall

Thursday, August 29th:

• New Student Registration for classes (all day)
• English Bible Exam (all day)
• 9:00am: Greek Placement Exam, Click here to register.
• 11:00am: Hebrew Placement Exam, Click here to register.
• 7:00pm: Wives of Westminster welcome dessert, in Carriage House

Friday, August 30th: New Student Registration for classes (all day)

Monday, September 2nd: Labor Day, seminary closed.

Tuesday, September 3rd: New Student Registration for classes (all day)

Wednesday, September 4th

• New Student Registration for classes (all day)
• 9:00am-3:00pm: Research and Writing Orientation (Click here for more details)

Thursday, September 5th

• First Day of Classes (all day)
• 1:00pm: New International Student luncheon

Friday, September 6th: 5:00pm—Fall Picnic on Van Til Lawn

Wednesday, September 11th: 10:30am—Fall Convocation, address by Dr. Peter Lillback, president of the seminary.
