Comments from Dr. Green

Dr. Douglas Green, professor of Old Testament, served as a ruling elder at New Life alongside Rev. Traylor over the past seven to eight years. He says this about Terry:

"Over the last seven or eight years, I have often thought that if pastors could be as gentle and as humble as Terry, the church would be in good shape. Terry was a true pastor of the flock. He had no favorites; he loved everyone equally. He had no desire to promote himself. Instead, he always encouraged others in their giftedness (especially young men training for ministry), valued others more than himself, and loved serving on teams of Christians working together. Terry was also an incurable optimist, always believing that the Gospel could bring change in difficult situations. Like a godly father, he winsomely modeled the Christlike life to his church family, not just in his words but even more so in the way he lived before us. Today, the congregation of New Life Glenside is devastated by the loss of our father in Christ. Our hearts break for Susan, their children, and the rest of the family, but we are comforted by sure hope of resurrection and reunion that is ours – and Terry’s – in Christ."

Please join with the Westminster community as we mourn the loss of this brother.
