Farewell, Grace!

March 12, 2014

Assistant Librarian of 38 Years, Grace Mullen, Retires

After 38 and a half years of service, Grace Mullen has announced her retirement from Westminster Theological Seminary (PA). Over the years, the seminary has been given occasions to publicly thank Grace for her service. We do so here, once again, with deep gratitude.

Grace began employment at the seminary in September 1975, after earning a master’s degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania and teaching school in what was then Persia, now Iran. Her seminary service was all in the library. On more than one occasion, with the resignation of the library director, Grace stepped into the acting director role, managing library operations until a new director was hired. She has been the seminary archivist, knowing more details about seminary history than any other living soul. She has blessed the many she has come to know, whether in the course of her work or simply by being on campus. Grace has blessed Westminster, the church, and the broader scholarly world, and we are grateful to God for her.

Farewell, Grace, and thank you for your many years of service to the seminary! May God bless you richly in your retirement.
