Orientation 2008

September 02, 2008

Thanks to the efforts of Melinda Dugan, M.Div. '05, (Director of Enrollment Management), Rev. Greg Hobaugh, Th.M. '00, (Dean of Students), and the rest of the staff, Orientation welcomed new Westminster students to the 2008-2009 academic year!

The incoming students were introduced to their Westminster staff, accompanied by an address from Dr. Vern Poythress, Professor of New Testament Interpretation, titled, “What to Expect at Seminary.”

Following this, the Westminster bookstore and the library opened their doors to three groups of just under 50 students, while Karin Deussing, Director of Human Resources, continued to add almost 150 pictures to the upcoming student directory!

The theme for lunch was “A Taste of Philly,” which included Philly staples such as cheese steaks and water ice.

Dr. Lillback gave a motivating address to all the new students, reminding them of how important these next few years are in their service to God through ministering to the world.

It was truly a pleasure for faculty and staff to join the company of this energetic incoming class.  May God bless Westminster this upcoming year and for many years to come.
