Westminster Missions Conference

April 07, 2016

Glomissions is at the heart of the Westminster community. Our faculty, alumni, and students diligently labor to spread the gospel across the globe and train disciples in Christ. Each year, we set aside time to gather and focus on this community value during our Missions Conference.
This year’s Missions Conference opened on Tuesday with a student-led chapel addressing the importance of missions to Reformed theology. The next day, students, faculty, and staff heard about the role of Westminster in global missions and afterward enjoyed international dishes prepared by Dr. Diana Poythress and Ningning Jiang (click here to view their recipes).
The Westminster community had the special privilege of hearing from Tim Keesee, executive director of Frontline Missions International and executive producer of the acclaimed Dispatches from the Front film series. Keesee spoke on “Taking Risks for the Gospel,” expositing Matthew 7:7–11. That evening, faculty, students, and friends of the seminary watched the world premiere of Dispatches from the Front, Episode 9: Every Tribe at the Ambler Theatre.
We hope you will join us next year for the 2017 Westminster Missions Conference!
