CVC Celebrates 1st Anniversary

March 09, 2008

Cresheim Valley Church, a church plant of Tenth Presbyterian Church, Philadelphia, celebrated its first anniversary in January with Dr. John Leonard, their pastor and Associate Professor of Practical Theology at Westminster, preaching a special service at Chestnut Hill Academy. May 11th, it will become a particular church with the Presbyterian Church in America. Praise God with us for prospering their ministry.

At the one-year Anniversary, Rev. Dr. John Leonard preached the sermon from Matthew 2:1-11, “Jesus is the Light of the World.” If you’d like to hear the message click here.

Seth Nelson, pastoral intern and fourth-year M.Div. student at Westminster, is struck by CVC's "sense of family, community, love, grace and acceptance in Christ." He aspires to full-time pastoral ministry after preaching at, ministering amidst and sweeping the floors of Cresheim Valley.

CVC worships at 10:30 a.m. every Sunday at The Masonic Lodge at 8425 Germantown Avenue, Chestnut Hill.  Within its first year, CVC has grown to nearly 100 members and attendees.
